HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 Servers - Performant, versatile and budget-friendly

As a cost-effective entry-level server solution suitable for a wide range of requirements, HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 systems offer you further advantages in addition to their high reliability. Despite the compact 1U chassis, which enables space-saving installation in a 19" rack, the servers are equipped with powerful components and versatile expansion options for a wide range of workloads. This way, the systems are suitable for increasing requirements at manageable costs, and support you with HPE iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) through proven features for server management.

Configurations and options for HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 Servers

To reliably handle demanding workloads, HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 servers are available in a variety of models, and can also be configured to meet the needs of your application with optional upgrades. With a CPU socket that supports the proven and powerful Intel Xeon E5-2600 series processors with up to 22 cores, depending on the model, you can provide the computing power required for your application area. A total of eight DIMM slots are available to the processor, which can be equipped with DDR4 main memory up to a total capacity of 256 GB for memory-intensive applications. Both Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) and Load Reduced Modules (LRDIMM) can be used and you benefit from HPE Smart Memory with Advanced ECC (Error Correction Code) for extended protection against single and multi-bit memory errors.

For the installation of up to four hard disks in 3,5" LFF format or up to eight 2,5" SFF drives, the servers can be equipped with the corresponding compatible drive cages to provide sufficient storage space for your application. If required, the installation of an optical drive in the compact 1U chassis is also possible, depending on the configuration. For the connection and management of the hard disks, Smart Array Storage Controllers are used, which offer various options with 12G SAS and 6G SATA interfaces to implement different drive configurations.

To integrate them into your network infrastructure, HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 servers are equipped with two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. But they also allow you to install alternative compatible network cards via the FlexibleLOM slot for enhanced connectivity and higher transfer rates. Additionally, optional PCIe riser cards in a variety of versions allow you to adapt your systems to your needs with PCI Express expansion cards, including full-height and full-length graphic cards to accelerate your workloads.

The power supply of the components is ensured in the base models of the servers by a high-quality power supply unit that can provide up to 550 watts. However, with the installation of the optional redundant power supply kit, you can further increase the failure safety of the systems and also benefit from a possible output of up to 900 watts. In terms of cooling, HPE ProLiant DL120 Gen9 servers also provide sufficient reserves with up to five redundant chassis fans to ensure both optimal performance and stable continuous operation.
