For which servers is DDR5 memory the best choice?

To take advantage of fast and efficient DDR5 memory, both the motherboard's chipset and the server's processors must support the modern standard. AMD EPYC CPUs (central processing unit) and Intel Xeon Scalable processors, for example, support the fast memory standard from the fourth generation onwards. As with previous generations, DDR5 RAM is not backward compatible and therefore cannot be installed in a server with DDR4 DIMM slots (dual in-line memory module).
