As high-performance models in the DL series from HPE (Hewlett Packard Enterprise), the 11th-generation ProLiant DL385 servers deliver the computing power required for the most demanding IT environments. Two SP5 sockets on the motherboard enable the installation of fourth-generation AMD EPYC processors, which can achieve massive computing capabilities with up to 128 cores. In addition, the CPUs (central processing units) support advanced standards for memory and expansion options with DDR5 and PCI-Express 5.0 interfaces, contributing to high overall performance.
The increased bandwidth of PCIe Gen5 enables faster data transfer within the system, benefiting not only graphic cards for compute acceleration, but also network cards and controllers, as well as NVMe drives (Non-Volatile Memory Express).
